A Nice Little Freebie!

For once, let me recommend a completely free bit of software to you.

It's well known that one of the factors that drives traffic from Google is the number of websites that link to you. That's why many webmasters work hard to exchange links with other webmasters - the so-called "reciprocal linking" system.

So - how many sites are linking to your site? You can spend a fair bit of time messing around the search engines finding this out.

Now there's a simple - and free - solution. The Link Popularity checking program. It's free. And it's with my compliments :-)

Just right-click on the link below and select "Save Target As" to download the zip file to your hard disk. Use Winzip (evaluation copy available free from www.winzip.com) to unzip the file into a folder of your choice, navigate to that folder, double-click on the file "link-popularity.exe". You'll see some interesting information there, and then you can unload the three files that make up the Link Popularity software.

Let's hope you're popular!
