There
have been problems recently with Adobe Flash Player so..
Can YOU See This Video?
If you can see this video - fine. But
sometimes .FLV format videos, used to make high-quality videos
with a lot of motion, play OK whilst the .SWF format videos
cause problems.. and vice versa! So can you please use the
link below to check an .swf format video (opens in a new
browser window)
Click Here To Test The .SWF Format Video
If you've been able to see both the videos,
that's fine. You should have no problems with your PC / Browser
setup. But can you please drop me a quick email saying "Yes,
I could see it" and letting me know:
- The web browser you used
- The Version Number of your web browser
- Your computer's operating system
(XP, Vista, Mac version etc).
- It would also be helpful if
you could let me know the version number of your Adobe
Flash Player
You can check the version of your Adobe
Flash Player here (opens in a new window)

Don't bother commenting
about the quality of either of the videos. The one above
I just shot with a web cam and the .SWF video was made whilst
I was still learning a little of the capabilities of the
new version of Camtasia!
It's likely that you have the same problem
that I had, and many of thousands of people still have.
Could you please use the email link below and tell me which
of the videos you were not able to see.
Please also let me know:
- The web browser you used
- The Version Number of your web browser
- Your computer's operating system (XP,
Vista, Mac version etc).
- The
version number of your Adobe Flash Player

It seems that when Adobe brought out
the latest version of their Flash Player, it immediately
caused many people many different types of problems. I found
that I could still view videos in Firefox and Internet Explorer
6, but not in IE7. Other people found that they couldn't
view them in any browser.
Quite a few people tried to re-download
the latest version of Flash Player and installing it. But
it made no difference. That happened to me.
However, I followed the advice that several
people on forums suggested, and finally, it worked. Here's
what I did - and I can't guarantee that it will work on your system:
1. I uninstalled the
Adobe Flash Player I was using (this is important.. the problem
persisted until I did this). XP users go to > Start > Control
Panel > Add / Remove Programs.. then look for the Adobe Flash
Player, click to highlight it and click on "Remove". Non-XP
users may have a similar method.
2. I went to the Adobe Flash
Player site ( www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ -
opens in a new window), clicked on the "Download now" link,
and then hit the "Agree and install now" button.
3. In my case, I found that I
had to allow popups for the download to work properly.
Before I did this, I was unsuccessful.
Now it's quite likely that this apparently
simple approach might not work for you. But onfortunately,
I can't provide technical support for the mighty Adobe!!
I hope that you've found the information
on this page useful.
Kind regards
